just wondering, do you ever have treats? I know you love to cheat clean and make healthy desserts and stuff, but do you ever allow yourself real unhealthy food occasionally?
Duh. This is one of my biggest promotions — live a little!
I promote cheating clean because it makes it easier to not fall off the wagon completely, you won’t feel guilty, and it also makes it fun to discover and try new recipes and delicious food that can taste just as good if not better than the bad stuff. And a lot of the time it will prevent you from just getting flu-like symptoms when your body isn’t used to the processed stuff anymore.
However, there are times where I will call in a pizza or go to my guilty pleasure— neopolitan ice cream all mixed up. I don’t keep this stuff in the house so it’s not a constant temptation, try and save it for special occasions or planned cheats.
We are real people and i’m not here to hide anything. It’s about moderation and not beating yourself over what you “can’t” have but rather all the things you can have.
But I will recommend looking into paleo/clean cakes and cookies because they are freaking delicious for treats!
Now that I am back from vacation and no excuses are allowed, I am incorporating a new product into my routine just to help with toning and the remainder of loose skin I want to try and minimize. So far I have seen a lot of positive feedback/results so over the next few weeks I will keep you updated. Product is Gel-V. I have been trying for years to stay motivated, workout, and eat healthily. This year I finally stuck to it and have been eating really healthy all the time and I actually enjoy it a lot. Only problem is now working out is kind of harder for me. What are some workout routines I could start off with that are easy but efficient?
Hey girl, sorry I have been out of the country to respond but here ya go.
Working out should be done in baby steps so you don’t exhaust yourself to the point where you give up on it, because just like eating you will learn to enjoy it and it won’t feel like a punishment, but rather an escape.
What I want you (and everyone who reads this) to understand is there isn’t an “easy” exercise that is going to be efficient. You have to put work in to see results. The most efficient will come from power moves and working larger muscles in your body.
Start with your basics— push ups, jumping jacks, tricep dips, high knees, butt kicks, mountain climbers, squats and the devil of them all—burpees. You don’t need any equipment, can be done anywhere, and are effective. It combines strength training with cardio. Remember cardio will burn calories while you’re doing it, and building muscle with strength training will help burn more calories in a resting state.
Then when you are ready to challenge yourself, put in the work, and take it to the next level to see even better results, modify each exercise to make it more challenging:
Turn push ups into spider lunges with a push up, change up your squats and add in a few sets of sumo squats, do squats on a bosu, add power and do jumping squats, or combine the two and do ski downs. Increase your time on high knees or butt kicks or combine other exercises into it. Instead of 30 seconds of high knees, do 10 intense seconds then drop down and do 3 burpees and repeat. Turn triceps dips into 1 leg dips, When doing burpees before you come up do a push up. You can do a combination of these things that are so powerful and effective but I guarantee you it won’t be a walk in the park.

today in church it was said that God has a plan for you, but you are still given the free will to make choices along the path to your destiny. These choices will either keep you on track or they will have you circle around a few times, setting you back before you’re back on the path meant for you.
Whether you’re religious or not, I think this is an important message and relatable to a lot of things in life—relationships, jobs, health and fitness.
Relationships: I do truly believe everyone has their someone. The trials we deal with people before we meet “the one” are the circles—we didn’t just meet the one right away, but in the end we got back on the path after meeting people, making friends, dating the wrong ones, but we learn lessons and find out what we really need in our life.
Same goes for jobs. It’s baby steps to get where we want to be. We work hard, sometimes we slack off, we get in a rut, and obstacles become learning tools to turn a job into a career and dead end work into happiness.
And health and fitness, we have our goals, we fall off the wagon, we put off the gym, a cheat meal may turn into a cheat week or month, but we have the choice to get back on the right track and the choice as to how far we want to verge off the path to our goals.
Some of you may not agree, but I know this made me sit back and look at a lot of things today of what I want to accomplish, and how I can do them a lot sooner if I really think about the choices I am making, and asking myself is it keeping me on the path I want to be on or is it re-routing me and taking me the long way around?
