today in church it was said that God has a plan for you, but you are still given the free will to make choices along the path to your destiny. These choices will either keep you on track or they will have you circle around a few times, setting you back before you’re back on the path meant for you.
Whether you’re religious or not, I think this is an important message and relatable to a lot of things in life—relationships, jobs, health and fitness.
Relationships: I do truly believe everyone has their someone. The trials we deal with people before we meet “the one” are the circles—we didn’t just meet the one right away, but in the end we got back on the path after meeting people, making friends, dating the wrong ones, but we learn lessons and find out what we really need in our life.
Same goes for jobs. It’s baby steps to get where we want to be. We work hard, sometimes we slack off, we get in a rut, and obstacles become learning tools to turn a job into a career and dead end work into happiness.
And health and fitness, we have our goals, we fall off the wagon, we put off the gym, a cheat meal may turn into a cheat week or month, but we have the choice to get back on the right track and the choice as to how far we want to verge off the path to our goals.
Some of you may not agree, but I know this made me sit back and look at a lot of things today of what I want to accomplish, and how I can do them a lot sooner if I really think about the choices I am making, and asking myself is it keeping me on the path I want to be on or is it re-routing me and taking me the long way around?
One of my best friends got married this weekend. Congrats buddy!! You finally put a ring on it!!!!!
I’m prepping for my vacation and had to pull my passport out. Which the photo in it was me at my heaviest.
Here’s to throwback Thursday…
And that they may never let me on my cruise ship
i always feel shy or embarrassed when i go for a run because many cars pass by and this is the only place where i can go running. Please help me what should i do?
Keep running. You will never see those people again. When I pass someone running when I am driving I am usually like “Damn, I should have went for a run/worked out today”
Don’t let the opinions, that you won’t even hear, of strangers, affect what you do and how you do it. <3
Hey I saw your post about being dating a tall guy congrats!! I'm really tall as well, and I was just curious as to how tall you are? I'm 5'10 and being a high school girl is a struggle.
Yes at one point I was seeing a tall dude. Now its a well 0’0” dude. But I was 5’10” in high school too and there’s good news and bad news. Good news is a lot of guys are still sprouting up in high school so when you get older they get a bit taller. Bad news is, majority of guys are going to be about your height. Funny thing is, I use to be insecure about it. I hated being taller than dudes, would never wear heels, and wish I was a few inches shorter.
Now? I realize guys (at least the ones you want to be interested in who are secure with themselves) are into tall girls. I’ve come to love my legs, get a lot of compliments on them because I am all legs, I’ll rock shorts, skirts, cowboy boots, heels, wedges, you name it and guys short, average and tall all come flocking.
Enjoy the struggle, it’s a blessing in disguise.
Hey so I noticed you encourage people to ask questions. Just thought I'd drop in, and okay, let's cut to the chase, so how did you lose 100 pounds?! Teach me your ways! I'm 5'6" and weigh 152 and want to drop around 20-30 pounds, within reason, you know, just get in better shape. I run everyday and lift a few times a week and eat pretty healthy and am still not seeing any results after months and months. Suggestions? :)
Hey! I apologize for the delay. My app on my phone won’t let me respond to asks.
Well step 1 is patience. Your body will reward you.
Here’s a few things you can try to do to break a plateau:
1. Water water water. Make sure you are keeping hydrated and flushing out toxins and it will help boost metabolism. Try and get a gallon a day. The more the better.
2. Change up your routine. If you are doing the same running and weight routine, your body can get use to it and it’s time to challenge yourself. Adjust your weights, the type of exercises your doing, push your limits. If you are a long distance runner, change it up by a few long distance runs, then doing some HiTT training.
3. Google and check out your BMR to make sure you aren’t over eating or better yet that you are eating enough for your activity level. NOT EATING ENOUGH can plateau you/prevent weight loss just as easily as eating too much.
4. Focus on other successes other than weight loss and watching the scale— make sure to take progress photos and journal your workouts. This way if you feel discouraged that you don’t see weight drop, I guarantee you you probably look more toned, slimmer, are stronger, have better agility, flexibility, whatever it may be there are other successes in health and fitness that people over look because they are so weight-obssessed.
5. Make sure to limit your stress, get plenty of rest, and enjoy the journey.
6. There’s always a debate on eating late. I say try and eat a few hours before you go to bed, but if you are hungry then eat. But I would recommend sticking to protein and low carbs for late meals.
If you’re interested, anytime I have to reset my body after falling off the wagon or break a plateau, I do the Advocare Cleanse. If you visit my page the link is under the let me coach you tab where you can purchase it.
Hope this helps and gets your started on some things.
Fish Taco Salad
Fillet of fish (tilapia, cod, mahi, salmon)
Plain Greek yogurt
Feta or goat cheese (optional)
Cook your fish as directed— I get frozen fillets from Costco that I bake for 25-30 minutes.
Cook your brown rice—I use 90 second rice.
On top of rice place fish and then stack on your taco fixings—avocado, salsa, and Greek yogurt in place of sour cream, cheese and dig in!

Luke Bryan, in honor of your 38th birthday I would just like to let you know I would bang you on every square inch of my house.
As your song simply puts it… “That’s My Kind Of Night.”
So I have always been one to advocate clean eating, but most importantly to eat based on your goals.
A person living a “normal” healthy lifestyle isn’t going to eat the same amount nor the same foods as say someone who is a professional athlete, doing a healthy bulk, or prepping for competition or even fitness modeling at that.
So with that being said, I saw a post by a fitness model/athelete person who shall not be named who loves to go on rants about how fruit is bad for you and how basically you’re an idiot for eating it and it spikes your blood sugar so it is doing the same thing as a soda so you might as well just down a coke every time you want a piece of fruit.
Uhm I’m sorry but that is just plain ignorant.
I understand it does affect your blood sugar because fruit is a natural sugar, but it also has a ton of nutrients and benefits where a soda does not. Just because your diet doesn’t incorporate fruit, don’t tell someone to take an unhealthy route because you feel one aspect of it does the same as an unhealthy alternative because that is far from accurate and even logical information. I’m pretty sure regardless of what anyones goals are they would be a lot closer to achieving them by opting for fruit over a soda.
Ok, daily rant done. I’m going to go eat a bowl of cherries now.
is now a popular wedding venue in Hong Kong because of the impact it’s had on couples meeting/going on dates there.
That’s it. I officially hate this brand.
Everyday I am in a group text with these two.
They keep me on track and are my biggest fans/support system.
We talk about life, love, people we dislike, food, and well a lot of food talk.
The one on the left I couldn’t be more proud of. She took that giant leap to change her life. Changed her eating habits, gets up at the crack of dawn to hit the gym, and she is killing it! She got so mad at her coach the other day that she out benched her coach!
The one in the middle is pushing herself like no one I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to witness her at a strength competition and watch her set, and then break her own national record for her weight class in the bench press and dead lift.
Love these two.
Surround yourself with a positive support system in life and in the gym. I’m telling you it makes all the difference! <3
Love my baby girl ❤️
