Oh yea, I'm just wondering if I should eating more of an array of fruits & veggies lol
Eat away at fruits and veggies!
So I decided to go on a weight loss journey. So I started eating cleaner, today I had spinach all day & green beans with fruits, banana, clementine, & apple. Is this okay or should I eat more fruits & veggies? Thanks
You need to have a well balanced and nutritious diet of lean protein, fruits, vegetables and whole grains and make sure you are meeting your daily caloric needs. Eating just lettuce and fruit all day isn’t giving you everything you need.
Merry Christmas To Me!
Haven’t posted an update in awhile but here is me (left) at the beginning of my journey years ago and me (right) two days ago at my company Christmas party.
As a holiday treat to yourself — take care of yourself. You deserve it. Your body deserves it. My health is the best Christmas gift I could ever give to myself.
The sweat, tears, stumbles, crawls, frustration, negative remarks from others and imperfect situations are all worth it in the end. You get your health and you get to say you did it.
Happy holidays everyone. Remember I am always here to help.
Thank you to all my followers for being my biggest supporters and motivators.
Hi, I was just wondering what you consider the best time to workout? i used to get up at 5am and do it but the during school holidays i stopped and havent done as much since? also do you have any tips to stay motivated? :) ty
This is a personal thing that you have to figure out based on your own schedule. I work nights until about 2-3am and don’t go to bed until about 4am so I try and workout between 1-3pm depending on the day just because I am able to wake up, eat, do some work from home, then set aside an hour or so to spend on me before I tackle whatever the world decided to hit me on the hour I dedicated to myself.
My biggest form of motivation is I know how great I feel when I eat right and workout. I get to a point where I slack off and my body feels gross, my clothes don’t feel right and thats enough for me to tell myself it’s time to clean out the fridge, fill it with clean food and get to working out

Ive dropped about 60 lbs in the last 7 months and now im stuck w/o results... Ive switched to free weights from cardio and im still sweating just not shedding weight as frequent as i was also... I stay within 1800-2100 calories a day also... Just curious to see if you might have some ideas? Thanks
Congrats on your progress! Like I tell a lot of people remember how far you’ve come and not how far you have to go. You should be doing a mix of weights, cardio and a clean diet. Since you have lost so much weight re-check your BMR and make sure you aren’t over eating or under eating based on your fitness level. Increase your water intake and maybe write down your intake for a week and reassess your diet. Maybe try to cut back on carbs later in the day if you aren’t being as active later in the day and not burning them off. I know trainers like Shaun T pretty much cut any carb besides vegetables from their diet by noon or 1pm. You have to realize too your weight loss is naturally going to slow since you have less weight to lose. You are also probably building lean muscle so your weight doesn’t seem to be changing. You just have to keep pushing. AND like I tell all my followers find success in other areas of your health besides what a scale says — running longer/faster, lifting more weight, doing more reps, feeling more energized, clothes fitting better, etc.
I started working out for about 3 weeks and felt so good i dont really know if i made a lot of progress but working out def got easier then i dont know what happened I kind just lost motivation and stopped. I really want to start again but dont know how it felt so repetitive. I hate running so much like i completely dread it but i know its what i have to do to get skinnier.I did weights different ones but idk i just really want to start again, can you help?
First off running isn’t the only thing you can do to get “skinnier”. (which if you are my follower you know I hate that term. I prefer healthy [yes, I get it we all want to be a thinner version of ourselves but its overplayed]) Mix of cardio, weight training and most importantly a clean diet is going to get you there. As far as running goes try indoor tracks, new routes outdoors, get a running buddy, join a running club/hangout, do interval training, change up your music if you listen to it. My advice is to just get to the gym or work out. Once you do it and get that gym high you’ll wonder why you ever stopped. It happens to me too. I suggest joining a gym that has a variety of classes offered. I love my YMCA because you have water aerobics classes, yoga, zumba, body combat and different things at different intensities to change it up. If you can, maybe invest in a trainer 1-2x a week so they can push you and get you to do different things that you didn’t think of. Or google gym exercises that you can do with equipment there that you may not have thought of that you could do.
Hi I'm 14 years old,5'9 and weigh about 150 pounds. I try to lose the weight but there safe way too many temptations at school and out of school. Any advice?
You’re going to have to learn self control. You’re at the age where you can get your health in check. This goes for you and for all the rest of my followers that you must understand there will never be a perfect world, a perfect time, a perfect situation to get healthy if that’s what you’re waiting for. The world is always going to have temptations, unhealthy options, elements preventing you from getting to the gym. If you keep saying “tomorrow” or “just one more cookie” every time before you know it you’re a month of “tomorrows” and a box of cookies in. It’s about self control, learning about yourself and what you put your mind to. You are going to find yourself saying you want to hang with friends, you have homework, you have college, you have to study, you have to do this you have to do that. Ask yourself are you ready to make your health a priority like you do everything else? You should. You learn self control, how to push yourself and take care of the one and only body you have. Your health is the greatest thing you can invest your time in.
Pack your lunch, ask your family to eliminate the temptations in the house, get active and challenge yourself.
You’re cruel processed food world.
